Acropolis We will walk through the archaeological area around and climb the Acropolis of Athens, then we will go down and see some more archaeological and cultural sites. The Acropolis of Athens (Ακρόπολη) is a symbol of the Golden Age of Pericles, a pearl of architectural and sculptural art of the 5th century BC. The pinnacle of European and world architecture is the main temple of the Acropolis - the Parthenon, dedicated to the goddess Athena the Virgin. Every year, more than 12 million tourists climb the Acropolis Hill to admire the unique work of the architects Iktin and Kallikrates, as well as the unique Propylaea, the "gates" of the Acropolis - the work of the great architect Mnesicles. The graceful temple of the goddess Nike - victory, the Ereichteion temple, famous for its caryatid columns. We will also see the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, a unique theater that was built in the 2nd century AD. Roman patron Herodes Atticus in honor of his beloved deceased wife Aspasia Anna Regilla

Roman Agora Along the paths of Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, you will walk along the bazaar of ancient Athens, the Roman forum with the Tower of the Winds, the library of Hadrian, along the Peripatos path around the Acropolis hill, after which the Peripatetic school of philosophers was named. Immerse yourself in the Cycladic architecture and the amazing atmosphere of the Plaka and Anafiotika districts of the oldest districts of Athens, conveying the mood of the second half of the 19th century. Further on Monastyraki Square we will see the only place with the sacred river Eridanos. Let's listen to the changing winds of Aerida, take a walk around the market square of Roman Athens, and see the mosque of the Ottoman conquerors. It is this journey through the centuries of Athenian history that the Roman Forum offers.

Hadrian's Library Hadrian's Library (Greek: Βιβλιοθήκη του Αδριανού) is one of the most massive buildings in Athens. Once it was called "The Huge Quadrangle" (122 x 82 m) with high and strong walls. In ancient times, the library of Hadrian was located here, which, as the famous geographer Pausanias says in his writings, had 100 columns of Phrygian stone, as well as gilded rooms with alabaster ceilings, decorated with statues and paintings. It was built by Emperor Hadrian in 132. AD, who wanted to create a quiet place near the bustling bazaar, a place for reflection and spiritual relaxation. The plan of the library complex was similar to that of the Roman Agora

Monastiraki Monastiraki Square is a unique combination of styles, cultures and eras, constantly changing and vibrant. This is without a doubt one of the most charming and lively areas of the Greek capital. On one side of the square is the Orthodox Church of Our Lady of Pantanassa, and on the other is the Ottoman-era Tzistarakis Mosque. Built in the second century AD, the pillars of Hadrian's Library can still be seen through the arches of the mosque, while - directly above them - the Acropolis dominates your view, forming a stunning backdrop for the scene. A number of neoclassical buildings surrounding the square, including a metro station, add another era to the list of those already represented in this small space. The area adjoins the bed of the Eridanus River, which was a sacred river for the ancient Athenians and here is the only place where we can see it.
