Beauties of the North - Porto Moniz (8h)

Cabo Girao
As we travel along the stunning southern coast, we will be greeted by stunning views of the vast Atlantic Ocean at Cabo Girão at 580 meters. This glass platform offers an incredible vantage point to take in the stunning surroundings.

Ponta Do Sol
Our next stop will be the charming town of Ponta do Sol, located by the sea. We will delight in strolling along the well-preserved old pier, taking in the magnificent headlands and stunning views to the southeast.

Madalena do Mar
Continuing our trip we will arrive at the quiet town of Madalena do Mar, known for being one of the largest banana producers on the island. Here we will take a quiet 200-meter walk among lush banana plantations, surrounded by a captivating landscape.

Posto Florestal Fanal
Our next destination will be the impressive Fanal Forest Park, where we will climb through the mystical and captivating Laurisilva forest, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will be surrounded by its unique flora and fauna, and once we reach the top, we will take a comfortable break and immerse ourselves in the impressive natural landscape.

Ribeira da Janela
Finally, we will head to Ribeira da Janela, where we will be rewarded with a fascinating view of the majestic northern coast and the impressive waterfalls that flow into the sea. We will witness vineyard production stretching to the sea and feel awe and awe at the captivating beauty of this remarkable island.

Porto Moniz
Our trip will take us to the picturesque town of Porto Moniz, famous for its natural pools that were formed by volcanic activity. During our visit, we will have the opportunity to explore this iconic Madeira attraction for one hour and entry to the pools is optional.

Sao Vicente
After a hearty lunch, we will embark on a panoramic journey that will take us through several charming towns on the northern coast of Madeira. One of these towns is São Vicente, hidden behind an arm of land that protects it from the scourge of pirate attacks.
As we advance, we will enter the lush and green forest of Madeira, also known as Laurisilva. This unique forest is home to an incredible variety of flora and fauna that can only be found in this part of the world.

Miradouro da Encumeada
Our adventure will take us through the picturesque parish of Nossa Senhora do Rosario. We will cross the laurel soil and the Encumeada Forest Park, where we will be surrounded by towering trees and the relaxing sounds of nature. Upon reaching the top, we will take a well-deserved rest and enjoy the stunning views of the north and south coasts below our feet. It is a sight that will leave you in awe and make you appreciate the natural beauty of Madeira even more.
After this panoramic stop, we will begin our journey back to the hotels, feeling revitalized and inspired by the wonders of this beautiful island.

Ponta de Sao Lourenco
We begin our trip heading to the eastern end of the island, here we find a viewpoint that shows us a completely different landscape of the island, providing views of the North and South coast, Desertas Islands and Porto Santo. After our first stop, we will continue towards Machico, where the first discoverers of the island landed.

Machico
After a brief tour of the city of Machico, we will continue our trip to Santana, crossing through Faial, to the Cortado viewpoint, with unique views of the Penha d'Águia, and nature reserve.

The trip to Santana covers several towns such as Faial, known for its abundant vegetation of Faia das Ilhas.

Santana
In Santana we will visit a typical thatched house, and the center of this small rural town.
Lunch at a local restaurant, with a menu made up of regional delicacies.

Sao Jorge
We continue our trip to São Jorge where a visit to the last water mill on the island awaits us.

Ponta Delgada
Our journey towards the "court of the north", Ponta Delgada will take us through several towns, each with its own charm and character. We will drive along winding roads surrounded by lush vegetation and impressive landscapes.
Our first stop will be at the beautiful church located in the heart of Ponta Delgada. This church is a testament to the island's rich cultural heritage and has intricate carvings and sculptures. From the church we can see a panoramic view of the small town, nestled under an arm of land that extends from the mountain to the sea.

On our first stop we will visit Câmara de Lobos, a charming fishing village known for its stunning views. You will have the opportunity to learn about the local culture by trying traditional drinks such as Poncha and Nikita. Our expert guide will show you around the city center and point out hidden corners for you to explore.

Miradouro Pico Dos Barcelos
A viewpoint located more than 330 meters high and from which we will obtain magnificent 360º views of the southern coast of Madeira.
Return to the hotels after visiting Pico dos Barcelos.

After a thirty-minute journey, we will make a stop at the Eira do Serrado viewpoint. The view from the viewpoint is truly amazing.

After visiting Curral das Freiras, our adventure through the charms of Madeira, we will climb to the Picos, crossing this picturesque place known for its lush vegetation and splendid views of the south and north coast.

Pico Do Areeiro
The stop will be at Pico do Areeiro at 1818mts. Pico is surrounded by the Funchal Natural Park, and framed in the landscape is the snow pit, a "nevero" used to preserve ice from winter to summer.

Explore the herefero and natural park of RIbeiro Frio with its lush vegetation, typical local drinks.

Balcoes de Ribeiro Frio
Discover the creativity of the Madeirans through a walking tour along an irrigation canal called levada, these are the famous trails of the island. In particular, the views from the Mirador de los Balcões are unique, allowing them to even feed our native birds in Esse Rincón. (Feed only with seeds that our guide will make available to you)

Porto da Cruz
We will continue our trip to Porto da Cruz, where we will offer our last stop with Cana de Açúcar Brandy after visiting a sugar cane mill.
