Puerto Madero Porteño neighborhood located in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Its location close to the east of the city, the extensive area and its view of the river make this district one of the most valued in Buenos Aires. The neighborhood owes its name to Eduardo Madero, merchant of Buenos Aires who presented three projects for the construction of the city's port, the last of which was approved by the then President of the Nation Julio Argentino Roca in 1882.
