Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Rose Valley – Tinghir

Tinghir
Early in the morning we make our way across the High Atlas Mountain via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass observing some of Morocco’s most picturesque scenery to the oasis town of Ouarzazate. We will stop for lunch and then continue our journey to Tinghir via the Valley of the Roses and the “Valley of 1000 Kasbahs”.

Our first stop will be Aït Barka village 915m, for referments and admire panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains from the café terrace.

Tizi n Tichka
Our 2nd stop will be at the summit of Tizi N’ Tichka 2,260m. Offering breath-taking views of quasi-desert landscapes, the valley of the Wadi Tensift in the north and the valley of the Ounila in the south.

Ait Ben Haddou
The 3rd stop will be Ait Benhaddou, a World Heritage site that contains the best-preserved collection of kasbahs in Morocco. where you stop for a tasty lunch, after lunch you have the opportunity to admire the kasbah and take photos from lookout view.

Kasbah Amridil
Our next stop will be Kasbah Amridil, one of Morocco’s grandest kasbahs. This 17th century citadel is one of the most famous Kasbahs in Morocco and was once depicted on the 50-dirham note. Some of the scenes from ‘Laurence of Arabia’ were filmed here.
The entrance fee: 20 Dhs per person.

El Kelaa M'gouna
Afterward our next destination is El Kelaa M’Gouna, (Vallee des Roses) where, in spring, the entire area is awash with pink Persian roses. The fragrance and stunning views in this lush valley will excite all your senses. Grab a drink or purchase an array of rose products made fresh from roses distilled right here on the premises of the Café where will be stopping.

Tinghir - Todgha & Oasis Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga

Merzouga Desert
Our destination today is Merzouga Dunes (Sahara Desert) via Erfoud. On the road you will see the Rissani Oasis before crossing the sandy track that leads to the dunes. Merzouga village is located in front of the big dune of Erg Chebbi. From here we will take a camel into the desert and spend the night at a traditional Berber camp and experience total peace and serenity.

After breakfast our journey start with a walk through the lovely Todra Valley to explore the spectacular Todra Gorge, a deep chasm cutting through the mountains. The massive trench, Todra Gorge rises over 250m and is one of the most beautiful natural sights in Morocco.

Tinerhir
Our next activity for the day is guided walk through the palmerie and Kasbah in Tinghir. And a visit to women’s co-operative carpet workshop.

The Oasis Museum
Our next stop is Ksar El Khorbat, this award-winning museum installed on 600 m2 of 3 renovated buildings in the Ksar El Korba, it aims to gather a panel of elements on the Culture in the South of Morocco. Maps, photos, paintings, and other antiques cover the themes of architecture, nomadic life, Islamic and Judaic worship. After the visit we will have lunch, then depart to Merzouga.

The overnight camel trek begins in late afternoon before the sunset from the auberge, it takes approximately 1 hour to reach the desert camp. At the arrival, you’ll be greeted with a mint tea in the Berber Bedouin tent where you’ll spend the night. In the evening, you’ll dine on a delectable Moroccan feast. Spend the rest of the evening around a campfire and drum circle in an atmosphere of entertainment and fun.

Merzouga - Alnif - Tazzarine - Agdz

Agdz
Rise early and climb to the top of the dunes and experience the magical sunrise and after breakfast you leave the desert behind and travel to Agdz via Alnif and Tazarine, a vast stony plain. Agdz is a small little mountain town located in the High Atlas, along the shores of the Draa River. A classic caravan oasis with a beautiful palm grove, the town offers beautiful views of the Jebel Kissane mountains.

Erg Chebbi
In the early morning, a date with a breath-taking sunrise over the sand dunes (Erg Chebbi) is worth waking up for. Following that, a breakfast and a hot shower will be provided in the camp or at the Auberge Hotel.

Tazzarine
Tazzarine is a small town in southern Morocco. This quiet town offers the visitor a beautiful view over the palm gardens and the town from the top of the mountains, a stroll here is a must. Tazzarine has quite several Marabouts. These are cemeteries for religious leaders. Each year a folklore festival is held for the deceased. Tazzarine is very famous for its good quality of henna and dates.
We will have lunch here before continuing our journey to Agdz.

Agdz
You’ll have the rest of the afternoon to explore Agdz, along the shores of the Draa River. A classic caravan oasis with a beautiful palm grove, the town offers beautiful views of the Jebel Kissane. Jebel Kissane is one of five mountains that make up the Anti and Atlas Mountain range in south-eastern Morocco.

Marrakech
In the morning we will make our way to the red city Marrakech, across Tizi n Tichka mountain pass and take in dramatic views of the stunning surrounding landscape and the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains.

Purportedly the world’s largest film studios, this 30,000 sq. meter desert film studio is open to visitors when there’s no production on that day. Over 200 movies and television programmes have been filmed at Atlas Studios including, The Mummy, Passion of Christ, Black Hawk Down, Gladiator, Game of Thrones and Lawrence of Arabia.

Telouet Kasbah
The Kasbah of Telouet is a fortress, castle, making it an impressive architecture. From a balcony on the second floor, the watchful eye of Glaoua, the Kasbah was known for Ahwach songs and dances, an Amazigh tradition that has been practiced in the Southeast since ancient times.
