El-Moez Street, also known as Al-Muizz Street or Al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah al-Fatimi Street, is a historic street located in the heart of Islamic Cairo, Egypt. It is one of the oldest streets in Cairo and is known for its rich historical and architectural heritage. El-Moez Street stretches for about one kilometer, starting from Bab al-Futuh in the north and ending at Bab Zuweila in the south.
The street is lined with numerous architectural treasures dating back to different periods of Islamic history, including the Fatimid, Ayyubid, Mamluk, and Ottoman periods. These architectural gems include mosques, mausoleums, palaces, and historic houses. Some of the notable landmarks along El-Moez Street include the Al-Hakim Mosque, Al-Azhar Mosque, Sultan Barquq Mosque, Qalawun Complex, and Bayt Al-Suhaymi.
