Betty's Bay
From Cape Town our first stop is at Betty's Bay. Here we see the African Penguins. Betty's Bay is a small coastal town located in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is home to a colony of African Penguins, also known as Jackass Penguins, which are the only penguin species found on the African continent.
Betty’s Bay is also known as Stony Point Penguin Colony. There is a huge population of the African Penguin. The penguins can be seen up close as they waddle around, swim in the nearby ocean, and nest in the shelter of the surrounding vegetation.

Hermanus
From Betty's Bay we travel further until we reach Hermanus where we make a stop and tour this beautiful town. Hermanus is a seaside town in the Western Cape province of South Africa, known for its stunning natural beauty, whale watching, and charming small-town atmosphere.
Hermanus is known as one of the best places in the world for land-based whale watching. Southern right whales visit the town's shores from June to December each year, and visitors can see these majestic creatures from the cliffs and beaches in and around the town.

Knysna
From Hermanus we travel to Knysna passing some beatiful towns along the way such as Swellendam, Mossel Bay Wilderness, just to name a few.
Knysna is situated between lush forests and the beautiful Knysna lagoon, which opens up to the Indian Ocean. Knysna is home to many attractions such as the Knysna Heads, a set of two cliffs that flank the entrance to the lagoon. There are many outdoor activities available in Knysna, such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, and cycling.

Knysna Heads
After breakfast we start off the day by visiting the Knysna Heads. Knysna Heads refers to two large cliffs that guard the entrance to the Knysna Lagoon, a popular tourist destination in the Western Cape province of South Africa. These cliffs are located on either side of a narrow channel that connects the lagoon to the Indian Ocean.
The eastern head is a publicly accessible nature reserve that offers scenic viewpoints, hiking trails, and picnic areas. The western head is a private nature reserve that is not open to the public.
The area around Knysna Heads is known for its rich biodiversity and is home to a variety of bird species, marine life, and vegetation. Visitors can enjoy activities such as boating, fishing, and kayaking in the lagoon, or explore nearby attractions such as the Knysna Elephant Park and the Knysna Forest.

Plettenberg Bay
From the Knysna Heads we head off to Plettenberg Bay which is only 30minutes away. We take a tour of Plettenberg Bay, one of the most beautiful coastal towns in the Garden Route.

Robberg Nature Reserve
Still in Plettenberg Bay we go a short distance to the Robberg Nature Reserve. Here we go on a hiking experience.
Robberg Nature Reserve is a stunning coastal reserve located in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. It covers an area of approximately 600 hectares and is renowned for its rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, and diverse marine and terrestrial wildlife. The reserve is home to a wide range of animals, including Cape fur seals, dolphins, whales, and various bird species.
Robberg Nature Reserve is also a popular destination for hiking, with several well-marked trails that offer breathtaking views of the coastline and the surrounding landscape. The trails range in difficulty from easy to challenging, so there is something for hikers of all levels.

The Waterfront Knysna Quays
From Robberg Nature Reserve we head back to Knysna for a relaxed end to the day at Knysna Quays Waterfront where we watch a beautiful African Sunset.
Breathtaking views of Knysna, crystal blue waters and and and. There really are no words to describe how stunning the views are. The Waterfront is a chilled out extension of Knysna. A scenic view of the harbor with quite a number of yachts make it a scenery. A good number of restaurants from cafes to great restaurants, one can easily spend 2-3 hours here, you can also book some rides on the lagoon.

We travel back to Cape Town, stopping in Benguela Cove Wine Estate

Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate
We depart from Knysna after breakfast to head back to Cape town. Our first stop is at Benguela Cove Wine Estate for a world class wine tasting experience of 5 top South African wines produced at this Estate.
Benguela Cove Wine Estate is a stunning vineyard located in the Walker Bay region of South Africa. The estate is situated on the banks of the Bot River Lagoon and boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and ocean.
