Itinerary

Depart from Cape Town at 8am and travel on the R62, the world's longest wine route

R 62 nel Klein Karoo Billed as the longest wine route in the Western Cape, the Route 62 Wine Route encompasses Wellington, Tulbagh, Worcester, Robertson and the Klein Karoo. Wine lovers can visit up to 70 wine farms. We have opportunity to stop at any point along the route to do some wine tasting. We travel on the wine route until we arrive in Knysna in late afternoon.

Day 2 Relax and Tour Areas in and around Knysna

Knysna On this day we do a tour of the main attractions in and around Knysna. This is the day to relax and just enjoy being in Knysna. Typically, we could do : 1. Hiking at the Garden of Eden, 2. Do a 2 hour boat cruise starting off from Knysna Quays Waterfront 3. Visit and walk around Thesen Island 4. Visit any other areas of interest.

On day 3 after breakfast we proceed to tour the Knysna Heads

Knysna Heads The heads of Knysna is a place where the ocean comes into the lagoon between mountain heads, the views from the top is absolutely stunning.

Plattenburg From the Knysna Heads we travel half an hour to Plattenburg Bay. Plattenberg Bay is one of the most beautiful towns in the Garden Route, modern in every respect.

Robberg Nature Reserve In Plettenberg Bay we visit the beautiful Robberg Nature Reserve with some of the best hiking trails where you will be able to do your hiking.

Knysna to Plettenberg Bay to Port Elizabeth to Addo Elephant National Park

Addo Elephant National Park Day 4 is wildlife day. We depart from Knysna to Plettenberg Bay after breakfast and head off to Addo Elephant National Park. Addo Elephant National Park is a diverse wildlife conservation park situated close to Gqeberha in South Africa and is one of the country's 20 national parks. It currently ranks third in size after Kruger National Park and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Here, there is the Big 5 in addition to all the other animals.

Depart from Knysna and head to Hermanus, Benguela Wine Estate, Betty's Bay and Cape Town

Day 5 starts after breakfast depart from Knysna and head to Hermanus for a tour of this beautiful town. Whale watching in season in Hermanus.

Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate From Hermanus head off to Benguela Cove Wine Estate for a wine tasting session. This is a top wine producer in South Africa.

Betty's Bay From Benguela Cove Wine Estate head off to Betty's Bay to see the endangered African Penguins in their natural habitat. From Betty's Bay we head off along the Whale Coast Route to Cape Town to conclude our tour.
