Visit and work in a real artist studio in Munich. Get behind-the-scenes insight into the making artworks and the printmaking process. Find out about the environmentally friendly Risograph printing machine made in Japan which uses inks made from soy oil and stencils made from rice paper. Print your own artwork on the Riso printer. You will be guided by a professional artist, who is a painter, printmaker, and drawing teacher. Penelope is also a fountain of knowledge about contemporary art and art activities in Munich.

What To Expect

Personalize your vacation by making your own artwork memories. Learn about Risograph printmaking art techniques too. You will go home with a set of posters or Risograph cards
to share with friends. And your artwork will be a special reminder of your trip.

This experience takes place in my artist studio in downtown Munich, where I guide you through creating your first Risograph artwork. In this hands-on 2-hour analogue workshop you will create a 2-colour Risograph artwork inspired by your journey. You can bring your own inspiration, collected materials, drawings, and sketches with you, or use the many materials supplied. In the end, you will have learnt printmaking basics, registration, and colour mixing as well as understanding how you can make cool artworks using the Risograph machine.

This workshop is designed for people interested in art and technology who want to be inspired and do something hands-on during their vacation. It is suitable for all age groups. My basic workshop is two hours long but can be extended if you have a special project.
