Discover La Fortuna with One with nature by exploring the natural wonders from a different perspective. Learn about the rainforest and its interactions between the Flora and Fauna by visiting Arenal hanging bridges. This 250 ha of protected land allows you to explore the forest from all of its levels, from the ground on its paved trails to the treetops on its 6 suspended bridges. This walk takes approximately 2 ½ hours and its suitable for all ages, even for people with disabilities were they are able to enjoy up to %50 of the trails. They day continues with a visit to El Mirador el silencio trails, were you are going to be able to walk over a lava flow from 1968. During it first eruption after a long resting period Arenal awaken on July 29th, 1968, destroying a couple of villages on its way. Learn more about the history of Arenal volcano and geography of Costa Rica while exploring the 68 lava flow. Lunch would be in a Soda to support the local economy.

What To Expect

Your experience begins with morning pickup from your hotel in La Fortuna, traveling aboard an air-conditioned minibus, driving through a scenic road where enables you to see Arenal volcano on the way to our first destination.

Our first experience is Arenal Hanging Bridges, were we walk through the tropical Rain forest trying to spot as much wildlife as possible, talking about the interactions that occur between the flora & fauna. This experience allows you to explore the forest from different levels, ground level to the tree canopy.
After having experience the rainforest we will drive to the base of Arenal Volcano, place were we will start our walk over the 1968 lava flow. Walking over an area that is regenerating you will experience humidity since most of the trail is open.

Lunch will be included, it takes place at a traditional local restaurant. Rice and beans, vegetables, salad, plantain and a protein option is what a Casado (traditional lunch) includes.
