Begin your exploration with a visit to the stunning Luxor temple, which was largely constructed during the New Kingdom period by pharaohs Amenhotep III (1390–1352 BC) and Ramses II (1279–1213 BC). This incredible temple, located in the heart of the modern town, is a testament to the skill and beauty of ancient Egyptian architecture. Also known as the Southern Sanctuary, Luxor temple was primarily used during the annual Opet celebrations when statues of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu were brought from Karnak along the Avenue of Sphinxes and reunited here during the inundation. Spend the night in Luxor, surrounded by the incredible history and culture of ancient Egypt.

Valley of the Kings After breakfast on board, check out from the Nile Cruise, and start your day with a tour of Luxor. You have the option to take a hot air balloon ride before crossing the Nile to the West Bank. There, you'll visit the Valley of the Kings, which was chosen by the New Kingdom pharaohs during the period of 1550–1069 BC. The isolated valley is dominated by the pyramid-shaped mountain peak of Al Qurna, also known as The Horn. Once called the Great Necropolis of Millions of Years of Pharaoh or the Place of Truth, the Valley of the Kings is home to 64 magnificent royal tombs.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari Next, the tour proceeds to the base of the cliff where the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut is located. This temple is a magnificent monument and a testament to the greatness of one of Egypt's most prominent female rulers. After continuous restoration and excavation efforts since 1891, the temple has become one of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian architecture. In the days of Hatshepsut's reign (1473-1458 BC), the temple was even more impressive. It was approached by a grand causeway lined with sphinxes, surrounded by gardens filled with exotic trees and plants, and connected to the Temple of Karnak on the east bank of the Nile. The temple, known as Djeser-djeseru or the "Most Holy of Holies," was designed by Hatshepsut's courtier and possible lover, Senenmut. Though it features a rising central axis and a three-part plan like most memorial temples.

Colossi of Memnon After visiting the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the next stop is the Colossi of Memnon. These impressive statues, standing at about 18 meters tall, were originally built to represent Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Carved from a single block of stone, each statue weighs 1000 tonnes and sits at the entrance of the Pharaoh's funerary temple on the west bank of the Nile. Although they no longer have their original faces, the Colossi of Memnon remain a striking sight and are an important monument of ancient Egypt. Currently, Egyptologists are conducting excavations at the temple, and visitors can see some of their findings behind the statues.

Temple of Karnak Next, we will proceed to visit the Temple of Karnak. This vast complex is highlighted by the impressive Temple of Amun-Ra, one of the largest religious complexes in the world. The temple's hypostyle hall is particularly noteworthy, with its towering columns shaped like giant papyrus plants. Additionally, the complex contains the residences of Amun's wife, Mut, and their son, Khonsu. After the tour, we will transfer you to your hotel or to the airport for the end of our services.
