The Pilanesberg National Park is located north of Rustenburg in the North West Province 2 hours away for Johannesburg .The park borders on the Sun City entertainment complex.
The park has a rich array of southern African wildlife including the Big 5, the 5 most dangerous game animals in Africa(lion, elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, and leopard). Most of the large animal species of southern Africa live in the Pilanesberg National Park today, including lions, elephants, black rhinos, white rhinos, Cape buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, hippos and crocodiles. The Cape wild dog (Lycaon pictus pictus) was extirpated from the park by poachers, but subsequent reintroduction efforts were successful. The Pilanesberg is not in a location which the Big Five animals would naturally inhabit, however they have been brought into the 550 square kilometres of African bushland. The reserve is also home to brown hyenas.

Pilanesberg National Park
The game drives in open-top vehicles. guided safari and birding safaris to view more than 300 species of bird with bird hides situated along the Mankwe Dam.
You will have more chance to see the big 5(lion, elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and leopard) And other animal like kudu, Impala, Eland, zebra etc.
From Johannesburg /Pretoria we be having almost 2 hours driving to the national park

9:00 am Manyana gate 6 hours safari in Pilanesberg.

The Johannesburg Central Business District, commonly called Johannesburg CBD, is one of the main business centres of Johannesburg, South Africa.
It is the densest collection of skyscrapers in Africa, however, due to white flight and urban blight, many of the buildings are unoccupied as tenants have left for more secure locations in the Northern Suburbs, in particular Sandton and Rosebank. There are significant movements to revive the area.
