This is a wonderful opportunity to see a different side of London. Some of the most famous sights of London are best seen from the South Bank of the River Thames. As well as having the opportunity to follow the Queen's Walk along the banks of the river you will be able to take some great pictures of these landmarks and hear all about life on the river and London's history as a port. Big Ben You start your tour near the Palace of Westminster and 'Big Ben'. Your guide will tell you about the British Parliament and Government before leading you across Westminster Bridge, where you will get a wonderful view of the Houses of Parliament.

The Queen's Walk As you walk along the South Bank of the River Thames along the Queen's Walk your guide will entertain you with stories of the River Thames and the fascinating buildings you will pass on both sides of the river. You will have plenty of opportunity to take pictures of some of London's famous landmarks.

Tate Modern You pass London's famous gallery of modern art, the Tate Modern with its famous tower and Turbine Hall. Why not return for a visit after the tour!

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre Your guide will tell you about William Shakespeare's time in London in 16th and 17th century and the building of the old and new Globe Theatres. Enjoy view of St Paul's Cathedral and the Millenium Bridge from here.

You make a stop outside the Anchor pub, an old brewery tap. Your guide will tell you about life in Southwark (London's main entertainment district from 13th - 17th century) and many stories about the industries, people and activities which used to go on in the fascinating part of London.

Golden Hinde A brief stop by the Golden Hinde will bring to life stories of explorers and pirates and an introduction to London's history as the busiest and most important port in the world until the 1960's.

Hay's Galleria You pass by Southwark Cathedral and Borough Market (where you will return later) on the way to Hays Galleria, a converted shipping wharf which is now a restaurant and shopping complex. From here you can get some excellent views of London's famous Tower Bridge and the museum ship, HMS Belfast.

Borough Market Your tour passes back via the beautiful Southwark Cathedral and finishes at Borough Market, London's premier foodie market, full of delicious treats for you to enjoy after your tour!
