Day 1 Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Draa Valley - Zagora - Marrakech

Marrakech
In our Morocco desert trip, we will travel from Marrakech, the red city, towards the High Atlas Mountains on a route that overlooks the foothills of the mountains and the Berber settlements who live there.

Ait Ben Haddou
Our first visit will be at Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site walled settlement erected in the 11th century.

Ouarzazate
Then, 35 kilometers later, we'll arrive at Ouarzazate, Morocco's biggest city in the south-east and dubbed as "Hollywood of Africa."

Zagora
Following that, we will drive to the largest valley in Morocco, the Draa valley (1052 km long), to reach Zagora, where you will witness the remnants of the Almoravide stronghold. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a standard hotel.

Day 2: Zagora-Tamegroute-Mhamid-Chigagaga Dunes

Tamegroute
On the second day, we will continue our journey down the Draa river until we reach Tamegroute, where we will visit one of the most ancient libraries before heading to the village of Mhamid.

We will travel immediately to the Erg Chigaga dunes, where we will walk on camels at sundown to our nomadic tent for a night of music beneath the stars.
Duration: 4 hours
Day 3: Chigaga Dunes, Iriki Lake, Foumzguid, Tazenakht, High Atlas, and Marrakech.

You will wake up early to see the dawn, eat breakfast, and then travel immediately to Iriki's dry lake, which was full with water 30 years ago and was home to a variety of species.

Foum Zguid
Following that, we will continue via the tranquil Berber village of Foum-Zguid.

Tazenakht
We visit Tazenakht, which has one of Morocco's largest carpet hubs.

Then, to end our Marrakech to Erg Chigaga desert trip, we will travel 90 kilometers via several valleys and Berber towns.
