Temple of Philae The Phiala Temple, constructed in honor of the goddess Isis, stands as the final temple built in the classical Egyptian architectural style. Its construction commenced approximately in 690 BC, making it one of the last remaining bastions where the revered goddess was venerated by worshippers.

Duration:  2 hours

3
Aswan High Dam The Aswan High Dam is a rock-fill dam situated at the northern boundary between Egypt and Sudan. This impressive structure is supplied by the waters of the River Nile, creating the vast reservoir known as Lake Nasser. The ambitious project's construction commenced in 1960 and reached completion in 1968, with its official inauguration taking place in 1971. The Unfinished Obelisk: A Glimpse into Ancient Egypt's Granite Heritage Aswan's Northern Quarries house the large unfinished obelisk, revealing fascinating insights into ancient monument construction. Three sides, nearly 42m long, were carved, yet the inscriptions remain incomplete. At 1168 tonnes, had it been finished, it would have been the heaviest stone ever fashioned by the ancient Egyptians. Sailing with Felucca: Enjoy a magical sunset sailing experience on the Nile aboard a Felucca. Overnight in Aswan at Basma Hotel: Relax and stay overnight at the welcoming Basma Hotel in Aswan.

Duration:  60 minutes

Day 2

1
Abu Simbel Temple Complex Early Departure to Abu Simbel: Exploring the Ancient Temples Embark on an early departure from Aswan at 04:00 to reach the magnificent Abu Simbel temples. These awe-inspiring structures were carved directly into the Mountain on the west bank of the Nile between 1274 and 1244 B.C. The Great Temple is a grand dedication to Ramses the Second, Ra-Harakhty, Amun Ra, and Ptah, featuring four colossal statues. The second temple honors Queen Nefertari and the Goddess Hathor. Remarkably, both temples were meticulously dismantled and relocated to higher ground to preserve them from rising waters during the construction of the Aswan High Dam. This preservation effort is hailed as the greatest achievement of UNESCO, ensuring the eternal legacy of Abu Simbel's ancient wonders.
