Our Skippers each have a minimum of 1/2 million miles of ocean sailing at the highest level. Sailing with them is a masterclass and a life-fulfilling experience.

Each trip is highly personalized - we will call you before the trip to find out your level of experience and exactly what you want to get from the experience. We can cover mileage building for an RYA Ocean qualification, Celestial navigation practice, or you can simply come for the thrill of the open ocean and the adventure of exploring some of the most isolated places on the planet with us.

What To Expect

An incredible adventure sail that will teach you exactly what is needed to plan and sail a major Ocean crossing. Led by an experienced skipper and first mate but so much more than sailing, we stop in Namibia and spend 5 days exploring St Helena Island - you will make friends for life on this epic voyage.

We depart from Cape Town and start with several days of 'preparation' when you will be involved in all aspects of safely preparing a sailing boat for a long Ocean voyage.

Once we leave Cape town, the sailing is approximately 2 weeks. You will learn to helm, crew and navigate. You will be under the constant guidance of our Skipper and a 1st mate who have made the trip many times. The Skipper has over 500,000miles of sailing experience and is a professional Ocean racing skipper.

St Helena island is a remote and fascinating destination which you can explore before either taking a flight back to Cape Town (not included in price) or sailing back with us. The return leg takes 3 weeks as we route south via the island of Tristan da Cunha.
