Embark on a popular and moderate day hike just outside of Marrakesh, ascending and descending almost 900m. Take in panoramic views of the Imlil and Imnane Valleys from several points along the route.
After your early morning pickup from your hotel in the city, sit back and relax on the 64-kilometer ride towards the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive at the village of Imlil (1,740m), the starting point of your hike.
Head up the Tamatert Valley to the Tizi n'Tamatert pass (2,300m) via the Berber villages of targa Imoula and Tamatert. From the pass, head into the Moroccan pine and cedar forest and pick up a trail that leads to the summit of the mighty Adrar Talamrout (2,600m).
At the summit of Adrar Talamrout, take your time to marvel at the view of Mount Toubkal and the Imenane Valley and the Berber villages of Amskere and Ikkiss sprawling beneath you, before beginning your descent back to Imlil. Enjoy a lunch break on your way down, and a relaxed drop off back in Marrakesh.
