CITY TOUR THROUGH THE CITY OF KINGS - LIMA

Lima On this fantastic guided tour in Lima you will explore the beautiful and fascinating City of Kings. You will visit iconic places that are rich in history. There will be many picturesque churches and exquisite colonial architecture. Start your journey by traveling thousands of years into the past. Your first stop will be the ancient ceremonial center called “Huaca Pucllana”, which was built centuries before the arrival of the Spanish. Next, drive to the city center so you can stroll through the main square, Plaza de Armas de Lima. Here you will find imposing architecture that was built a long time ago. In addition, in the main square is the grandiose Cathedral of Lima. Later you can tour the convent of Santo Domingo and its extensive monastery. The tour ends at your hotel

OPTIONAL CITY TOUR The route begins at your hotel we start in the main square of Arequipa, one of the most beautiful squares in Peru. Opposite this square is the imposing Cathedral, built in the 17th century. From there, continue to the Santa Catalina Monastery, a cloister and small religious citadel built in 1579, still in use to this day. Then, visit the Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús (1590). Considered a classic example of local baroque architecture, it houses an exceptional collection of paintings and murals. Finally, visit the districts of Yanahuara to have a general view of the city and take as a souvenir the best view of the Misti Volcano located in front of this beautiful city and finally Carmen Alto to obtain a panoramic view of the Arequipa countryside. At the end, take a transfer back to the hotel.

AREQUIPA - TOWN OF CHIVAY - VIEW OF VOLCANOES

Arequipa Charge your batteries with breakfast at the hotel before leaving the city through Yura, a district characterized by its rugged landscapes, hills and cliffs. Then enter the Pampa Cañahuas Reserve, an extensive grassy plain where vicuñas (an Andean camelid and national symbol) can be spotted. Head to Vizcachani and Pampas de Toccra to the crater of the Chucura volcano. From there, continue one last stretch of the road to reach the Mirador de los Andes in Patapampa, an impressive viewpoint at 4,800 meters above sea level with impressive views of the volcanoes that surround Arequipa. Lunch is served in the town of Chivay and in the afternoon you can rest at the hotel.

La Calera Thermal Waters Optional: Have time to soak in the Chivay hot springs. The water that gives life to the La Calera Thermal Baths, has a volcanic origin, and is produced in the Cotallumi volcano. From the Cotallumi volcano, the water emanates at more than 80°C, however, to make them suitable for human use, they are tempered at 38°C in their final pools. Medicinally, the waters of the La Calera Thermal Baths in Arequipa are important because they contain a high percentage of calcium, zinc, as well as iron in their waters. The sum of these minerals make the pools of the La Calera complexes recommended for people suffering from muscular, bone, and skin diseases, among others.

COLCA CANYON - CONDOR FLIGHT - PUNO

Colca Canyon Once you finish breakfast at your hotel, together with your guide you will go to the Cruz del Condor or The Colca Canyon is located in the valley of a river in southern Peru and is famous for being one of the deepest in the world. . It is a famous destination for hiking. It is a habitat of the giant Andean condor, which can be seen from viewpoints such as the Cruz del Cóndor. The canyon landscape encompasses a green valley and remote traditional villages with terraced agriculture that predates the Incas. From where you can take in the view of the Colca Valley (one of the deepest canyons in the world) and see the great and majestic condor towering over the valley, just a few meters from where you stand. Back in Chivay, visit the towns of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque, and in between take some more memorable photos at the Antahuilque and Choquetico viewpoints.

Puno Then continue to Puno with a detour that will take you through Patahuasi. Along the way, observe the incredible stone forests and sky blue lagoons (lagunillas) populated by cranes that fill this area at 4,000 meters above sea level. PUNO - FLOATING ISLANDS - LAKE TITICACA

Lake Titicaca After breakfast at your hotel, have a comfortable pick-up for transfer to the main port in Puno, relax during a panoramic drive parallel to the resplendent Lake Titicaca. Climb aboard a motor boat and set sail for the Uros Islands, man-made floating islands made entirely of reeds. Enjoy a warm welcome from the friendly locals, who will show you around their rustic homes while your knowledgeable guide explains the fascinating history of the islands; Originally built as a defense mechanism, the islands were designed with flexible reeds to move easily during attack. Learn about the logistical issues of rotten reed foundations, then return to the ship for the next leg of your journey.

ROUTE OF THE SUN, PUNO - CUSCO - LIMIT PUNO BETWEEN CUSCO

Maras Head to the Maras Salt Mines are a unique group of more than 3,000 working salt mines.
