What To Expect

Guests will take a classroom tour into the life of a honey bee. They will learn the basics about honey bees and how colonies are managed. Then, guests will darn bee suits and visit hives located in the apiary. Guests will handle frames of bees and learn to identify different parts of a honeybee colony. Afterward, guests will have a chance to taste honey from the hives that they visited. Since the apiary is located on our farm with rescued farm animals, they may visit with a turkey, a goat, and a tortoise too.
