Leaving from Playa del Carmen, we drive approx one hour to Pacchen Mayan Community, where we start with kayaking in a private lagoon, and then ziplining over a lagoon, and on top of a cenote. After crossing a wooden bridge, we arrive at a hidden cenote, where having an exciting rappelling experience down the cenote's waters, where to swim and exit the cenote using vertical stairs.
After our adventures, we get dry and proceed to another Mayan community, where a shaman welcomes us with a Mayan ceremony to cleanse our souls and receive the blessing from Mother Nature. Following the ceremony, you will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare handmade tortillas in a typical Mayan kitchen. The chef will explain all the ingredients used to prepare the dishes that we will enjoy during the meal.
The highlight of the experience will be watching the extraction of "cochinita pibil" (pork cooked in the ground) while it is being prepared. We will then sit down and enjoy an amazing three-course meal consisting of local sauces, tacos, pork, black beans, rice, and a delicious sweet flan, accompanied by local "café de olla" coffee.
You will be reluctant to leave this unforgettable experience.
