Bo-Kaap If you’re looking for a vibrant and colorful cultural experience in Cape Town, Bokaap is the place to be. This vibrant neighborhood in the heart of Cape Town is teeming with history, culture, and people who are proud of their heritage. So, what exactly is Bokaap, and why should you visit? Bokaap is a historically Muslim neighborhood that dates back to the 1700s. It is famous for its brightly painted houses in shades of pink, purple, blue, and yellow, which are a sight to behold. The houses have been restored to their former glory, and the facades are adorned with wrought iron balconies, ornate gables, and decorative street art.

Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Let’s start with the Table Mountain Cableway. The Cableway provides a scenic journey that takes you from the base of the mountain to the top. It is not only one of Cape Town’s top attractions, but it is also one of the most popular cableways worldwide. It consists of two cable cars, each with a capacity of 65 passengers, and it takes about five minutes to reach the summit. The cable cars are enclosed, and they rotate so that all passengers can enjoy the 360-degree view of the city.

Iziko Slave Lodge Built by the Dutch East India Company in the late 17th century, the Slave Lodge originally served as a warehouse for the transportation and sale of slaves brought from various parts of Africa, India, and Indonesia. Over the centuries, it housed thousands of human beings, who were forced to endure unimaginable suffering and hardship. Today, the Slave Lodge has been transformed into a museum, dedicated to preserving the memory and legacy of those who were enslaved there.

Company's Gardens Home to the South African national museum, the national gallery and also the perfect picnic spot in the CBD. It was originally set-up by the Dutch East India Company in 1644 to grow crops for the ships sailing from the Netherlands to India.
