The protected landscape area Bohemian Paradise (in Czech Český ráj) is a nature reserve about 90 km north-east of Prague. We will travel there by train (the ride takes 2 hours one way). You will discover there the ruins of Zbirohy castle, rock labyrinth named Kalich–Chléviště and many spectacular viewpoints giving you a stunning panorama of Malá Skála village, Jizera river, Vranov castle and Frýdštejn castle. You will enjoy the remarkable beauty of the landscape and numerous historic landmarks, bizarre rock formations and deep pine forests.

If infants and/or children are participating, the itinerary of the trip will be adjusted accordingly to accommodate these age groups.

We meet in the morning around 7 a.m. outside the Main Train Station (Hlavní nádraží), in the park Vrchlického sady in front of Potrefená husa pub. The train leaves around 7:20 a.m. We return to Prague around 7.30 p.m.

We will visit the ruins of Zbirohy Castle. It lies between the town of Turnov and the village of Malá Skála. The castle was built in the 14th century - retaining walls, tower and cellars are still preserved.

The Zahrádka lookout point, located at the end of the Vranovský hřeben ridge at 60 metres above the Jizera River, offers beautiful views of the Malá Skála area; the view of the Suché skály rocks is especially impressive.
