Simon's Town Visit this small settlement but one of the oldest in South Africa. It is an attractive location nestled between the Red Hill mountain and the Atlantic Ocean. A walk along the main road takes you past a magnificent colonial Dutch architecture which has prompted the authorities to declare this place a national heritage. Simon's Town is also home to the South African Navy, so it is no surprise to see the warships in the harbor that includes the frigates. This is one of the most beautiful places to live in Cape Town because of the outstanding landscape. Look out for the statue of Just Nuisance a dane - the only dog ever to be listed in the Royal Navy. He died in 1944 aged seven and was buried with full military honors . Along the main road there are several art and craft shops where you can spoil yourself with African curios. Boulders Beach Penguin Colony Visit this colony of the African penguins, take a walk on the wooden boardwalk and get up close. Learn about the life cycle, their history how they ended up being there starting as a couple in 1982. Now with figures of between 2 000 and 3 000 this is a major attraction on this tour. If you bring your swim wear you can paddle with these adorable birds at the Boulders' beach. Get up close to these flightless birds as they dive in water to catch fish. Look out for their houses dug in the white sand and they protect their young ones.

Old Cape Point Lighthouse Visit one of the oldest lighthouses on the South African coast. Built in 1859 the lighthouse stands 238 meters above sea-level on the peak.
