Provincial Museum of the Central Rhineland (Landesmuseum Mainz) Discover the art and cultural-historical collection of one of the oldest museums in Germany that extends from the Stone Age to the present. Among the exhibits there is a Celtic dog made out of blue glass, one of Central Europe's most important collections of Roman stone monuments, precious medieval jewellery, sculptures and panel paintings, Baroque furniture, porcelain and landscape paintings as well as paintings by Picasso, Beckmann and Rothko.
