Munich's unique history begins at Marienplatz, where the old trade routes meet. Here and in the surrounding area there is a lot of city history to discover, which is presented in an entertaining way by expert Brezntours guides. Isartor The Isartor is one of the three remaining city gates of the second city wall and is almost 700 years old. It houses the Karl Valentin Museum, a wonderful place for humorous entertainment. Right next to the Isartor is Munich's oldest hotel, the Hotel Torbräu. This medieval building also has the only backwards-running tower clock.
