Itinerary

Franschhoek
A 1-hour drive takes you to the picturesque town of Franschhoek. The place was founded by French Huguenots in 1688, and their influences can still be seen here. Cozy cafes invite you for a quick cappuccino before we get on the saddle.

Huguenot Memorial Museum
Equipped with a bike and helmet, we cycle through the town and stop briefly at the Huguenot Monument, which is pretty to look at and reminds of the influences of the Huguenots in the region. Our path then leads along apple orchards and idyllic vineyards.

Berg River Dam
The impressive Berg River Dam is ideal for a photo stop. Here the road turns into gravel paths.

Glenwood Vineyards
At lunchtime we reach a wonderfully remote winery. There we are rewarded not only with top-quality wines, but also with excellent cuisine. Recommendation: gourmet sushi and a cool white wine.

Franschhoek
After the delicious refreshment we cycle comfortably back to Franschhoek and hand over the bikes there.

Fairview Wine and Cheese
On the way back to Cape Town we stop by in Paarl, where you can make excellent cheese and taste it. A wine and cheese tasting in Paarl is included in the price.
Total cycling time about 2.5 hours, moderate fitness required.
