The waters of this fountain are historicaly believed to be medicinal and flow from fresh springs up in the mountain. This fountain also tell us about a tragedy that afftected Portugal in the XVIII Century, as well as an important and decisive time for the rule of the Portuguese crown.

The palace is a great example of the Manueline and Mudéjar architectural styles, and it's the only palace in Portugal that still has its kitchens and service rooms almost completely intact.

Palacio e Parque Biester The Biester Chalet is a charming small palace located in the Pena Park in Sintra, Portugal.
