Karnak Open Air Museum
Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name ipet-isut means ‚the most sacred place‘. The temple complex was being built over 2000 years by generations of pharaohs. The great “Hypo-style Hall” is an incredible forest of gain pillars.

Valley of the Kings
Valley of Kings, where magnificent tombs were discovered. Those tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the pharaoh’s after-life.

You will also visit the great Hatshepsut Temple.This impressive temple dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh in Ancient Egypt, rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and mirages.

It is different from other temples by two entrances. Each of them is dedicated to the god of fertility and creator of the world Sobek and the falcon-headed god Haroeris, or ancient Horus.

Then we will take you to Edfu to visit the majestic Temple of Horus, considered by many the best preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus revenged the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth.

Unfinished Obelisk
Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries of Aswan where much of the red granite used for ancient temples and colossi came from. The Unfinished Obelisk still lies where it was carved when a crack was discovered while being hewn from the rock. Your qualified Egyptologist guide will explain how the 1-tonne obelisk was carved, and why the crack caused it to be abandoned.

Temple of Philae
The last of the three famous Aswan sites you will see are generally regarded as the best. Philae Temple was carefully moved to its current location (around 500 metres from the original site) when the construction of the High Dam caused the Nile waters to rise.
