On this wine and food tour, we invite you to discover the Alentejo Wine Region.
The activities will start at Herdade do Esporão, located in Reguengos de Monsaraz, in the heart of Alentejo Wine Region. The Herdade do Esporão presents unique conditions for agriculture, large thermal amplitudes, varied soils and an extraordinary biodiversity that helps production in balance with the environment. You will get to know the vineyards and the property. Take a break to unravel the secrets of wine production on a visit to the winery and cellars, and test your senses in a tasting with an aroma exercise.
For lunch, the Chef of Herdade do Esporão, will present you a cuisine focused on the products and flavours of Alentejo and Portugal, combined with a modern confection and interpretation. You will enjoy a 5-Moment Menu, prepared with seasonal products, from local and national producers, closely following the cycle of each one.
After lunch, you will visit Adega da Cartuxa- Quinta de Valbom. You will discover the history and unique surroundings of Quinta de Valbom through a guided tour of the building where the Adega da Cartuxa was founded. The activity will culminate with the tasting of wines selected by the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, accompanied by typical Alentejo snacks.
