Jemaa el-Fnaa Located in the old medina of Marrakech and recognized by the Unesco, The Jemaa el-Fna Square is one of the main cultural spaces in Marrakesh and has become one of the symbols of the city since its foundation in the eleventh century.All through the day, and well into the night, a variety of services are offered, such as dental care, traditional medicine, fortune-telling, preaching, and henna tattooing; water-carrying, fruit and traditional food may be bought. In addition, one can enjoy many performances by storytellers, poets, snake-charmers, Berber musicians (mazighen), Gnaoua dancers and senthir (hajouj) players.

Koutoubia Mosque The minaret of Koutoubia mosque is a classic reference and important example of Almohad architecture and of Moroccan mosque architecture generally. The minaret tower, 77 meters (253 ft) in height , is decorated with varying geometric arch motifs and topped by a spire and metal orbs.

Bab Agnaou Bab Agnaou is a monumental gate testifies to the grandiose past of the Berber Almohad dynasty which had installed, in the 12th century , the heart of its power in Marrakech. Flanked by 2 cannons, it is one of the most impressive gates in Marrakech.

Saadian Tombs The site was chosen due to its proximity to the important Kasbah Mosque, which dates back to the 1100s. The fifth and final Saadian ruler was responsible for the construction of many of the major buildings within the complex of the Saadian Tombs. He built lavish mausoleums in equally opulent structures. Materials included imported Italian marble and gold, with eye-catching tilework, known as zellige, plasterwork and woodwork. The entire complex radiates beauty.

Mellah The Mellah of Marrakech, formerly known as Hay Essalam is the Jewish quarter of the city of Marrakech, Morocco. It is the second oldest of its kind in the country.El Mellah, the Jewish quarter, has always been a district of exchanges. The Jews brought salt, cash and gold; other countries, products that Moroccans could not find in their traditional markets. Today, Jews are rarely found in the area, but these types of products continue to be sold.

Bahia Palace Surely one of the most extraordinary imperial relics of Morocco, the Palais Bahia (“the brilliant”) doesn’t disappoint. Built at the start of the 19th century by architect El Mekki for Si Moussa, the then chamberlain of Sultan Hassan I, the palace showcases a wide range of architectural styles hinting at the chamberlain’s playful spirit, especially after his son inherited it and added his own brand of flamboyant glamour to the place.

Medina of Marrakesh The medina of Marrakech is a Moroccan medina , the historic heart of Marrakech. The districts of the medina can bear the name of the neighboring door, a zaouïa , a mausoleum, a mosque , a palace or a cemetery located there, a traffic axis, or a traditional name. The Marrakech medina also hosts the souks of Marrakech .
