Vereda do Fanal A very special foot expedition that is recommended for regular and more experienced walkers! It begins at Madeira's highest plateau, Paul da Serra, and finishes in the Fanal area where there's a very big forest of Tis where you can relax and appreciate this wonderful place. This breathtaking walk is one of the few places in Madeira where you can see the imense Laurissilva vegetation at its best! Along the way you will certainly be able to stop to admire the ancient trees, a good variation of different birds and the stunning views over the valleys of Ribeira da Janela and Chão da Ribeira.
