Centro Historico de Cascais
Often called the Portuguese riviera, Cascais's history as a cosmopolitan center originates in the late 19th century, when King Luís I and the Portuguese royal family made from this seaside town their summer residence.

Boca do Inferno
The Hell's Mouth is a naturally formed cave located in the seaside cliffs close to Cascais.

Farol do cabo da Roca

Praia Grande
With a suggestive name, this is a large sandy beach where regularly surf and bodyboard competitions are hosted.
Here you can find one of the biggest saltwater pools in Europe with over 100 meters in length.
In the southern part, dinosaur fossils can be found on the Beach's cliff with an easily identifiable sequence of eleven dinosaur footsteps.

Praia das Macas
The “apples” beach, allegedly named from the rotten fruits falling down from farms nearby to the Colares stream, ending near the ocean at the sandy beach.

Parque e Palacio de Monserrate
An estate full of history. Owned by several foreign families, it inspired Lord byron the poet to write about it’s magnificence and uniqueness.
Acquired in the mid 19th century by Francis Cook, a wealthy English merchant who started to work on the remains of the old house to create an impressive summer residence for his family.
The design was influenced by Romanticism and Mudéjar Moorish Revival architecture with Neo-Gothic elements as a fine example of the Sintra Romanticism, along with other nearby estates.

Quinta da Regaleira
Probably the most mysterious and intriguing monument of Sintra, this property consists of a romantic palace and chapel with Neo Manueline architecture, and a luxurious park that features lakes, grottoes, wells, fountains, and a vast array of exquisite constructions.

Centro Historico de Sintra

Sintra National Palace
Initially used as a Moorish governor residence, King Afonso henriques used it as his own residence after conquering Sintra and Lisbon in mid 12th. Century.
The blend of Gothic, Manueline, Moorish, and Mudéjar styles in the present palace is mainly the result of building campaigns during different centuries.

Castelo dos Mouros

Park and National Palace of Pena
