The West Tour starts off from the reception area of your hotel. The first stop will be at Cabo Girão, this absolutely amazing sea cliff will present you with breath-taking panoramic views. Next is Ribeira Brava, its name came from the wild (Brava) river (Ribeira) that flow in this area when the rain falls heavily. After that we go to Madalena do Mar, where we will visit the banana plantation. Then we go to Fonte do Bispo, this is a view point located between 1300 and 1500 meters. After that we get to Porto Moniz, which is famous for its series of natural volcanic pools created by reefs in the coastal lava rocks. The next stop is Seixal, there is a beautiful black sand beach. Then we make our way to the town of São Vincent, which is one of the most predominant villages of the northern coast of Madeira island. Our last stop, is Camara do Lobos, famous fishing village; and favourite painting spot of the late Winston Churchill!

Cabo Girao The Cabo Girão Skywalk is the highest cliff skywalk in Europe, located on top of the cabo Girão Cliff in Madeira Island. The skywalk opened in late October 2012 and is similar to the one in America's Grand Canyon - both are made of transparent glass to provide stunning views to visitors

Ribeira Brava The municipality gained its name due to its river - Ribeira Brava, which translates as 'the angry river'. In rainy seasons, the river had an extremely strong and powerful current, that often wreaked havoc over the entire eight kilometres of the route

From an altitude of between 1300-1500 meters we find the tourist attraction of Paúl de Serra and it's initiation of several levada walks that connect to different points of the island through the Laurissilva forest with a stop at the Fonte do Bispo viewpoint

Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools The natural swimming pools at Porto Moniz are formed by volcanic lava, naturally filled with crystal-clear sea water.The natural pools of Porto Moniz are the highlight of the village of Porto Moniz. The natural salt water swimming pools are made up of volcanic rock, into which the sea flows naturally. This space, with a surface area of 3800 m², has also a children’s swimming pool, a children’s play area and disabled access. In addition, the beach has a car park, changing rooms and bathrooms with lockers for storing personal items, a snack bar open during the summer months, first aid, sun loungers and sunshades for hire

Seixal Even nowadays, one of the many charms of Seixal is its serenity allied to a landscape painted with the green of the mountains and the crystal blue of the sea. This is precisely the stunning scenery of one of the most popular beaches in this parish, Porto do Seixal Beach, a natural black sand beach located right next to Seixal harbour. With a breathtaking landscape — the green cliffs and mountains of the island's north coast — this unsupervised beach offers its visitors access to the toilet facilities, showers and the bar of Clube Naval do Seixal Pools, right next to it, which is a free access facility with a natural pool and sun loungers.
