Itinerary

Nairobi - Amboseli

1
Amboseli National Park Enjoy your first game drive upon arrival. Amboseli is a popular tourist destination and has a large concentration of wildlife. The park embodies five main wildlife habitats (open plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush country, swamps and marshland) and covers part of a Pleistocene Lake basin, now dry. Amboseli is famous for its big game including large herds of elephants and its great scenic beauty. Mount Kilimanjaro broods high over Amboseli, generally cloaked by clouds but appearing in all its snow-shrouded magnificence from time to time. The mountain provides water for the park, wonderful views and, of course, the most glorious background for animal photography.

Duration:  1 day

2
Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano located in Tanzania but best viewed from Amboseli in Kenya. It is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest single free-standing mountain above sea level in the world.

Amboseli - Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake loacted in the Great Rift Valley. It is known for it's great scenery and is home to a variety of wildlife including over 400 different species of bird and a sizable population of hippos. There are two smaller lakes in the vicinity of Lake Naivasha: Lake Oloiden and Lake Sonachi. Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara

1
Masai Mara National Reserve Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most famous and finest game sanctuary, offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe. It is home to the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra, one of the most awe-inspiring natural events in the world witnessed from July to September every year. The wildlife of the Masai Mara is world-renowned, with the so-called “Big Five”- buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhinoceros – evident throughout the year. The “Big Nine” - including cheetah, zebra, giraffe and hippo - extends this experience. Finally let us not forget the colorful inhabitants of this exceptional landscape. The Masai are a proud semi-nomadic cattle-rearing people with a fascinating culture, divided into a number of sub-tribes some of which share the Mara region. The Masai are an ever-present reminder of the history and cultural heritage of this sublime and enigmatic landscape and will surely leave a lasting impression for all.

Duration:  12 hours

2
A Masai village, known as a Manyatta, consists of a number of small huts made of mud and cow dung with thatched roofs. The huts are placed in a circle with livestock in the middle for protection against predators. A visit to a Maasai village is a chance to interact with the Maasai and get a glimpse into their culture, unique way of life, and see first-hand some of their customs and practices. Please note that the authenticity of the visit can vary as every detail is carefully choreographed and ends with a shopping experience. However, this still allows a look into their lives, the ability to ask questions, interact, and take as many photographs as you want. The money spent for the tour and in their market helps the community pay for food, schooling, cows, and other necessities.

Duration:  3 hours
