Transfer to Nyungwe, Visit to the Ethnographic Museum of Rwanda and the canopy walk ways

Ethnographic Museum Rwanda On our way to Nyungwe we shall pass by National Ethnographic Museum located in Huye from here you will enjoy one of Africa’s finest ethnographic collections. It is made of seven galleries display historical, ethnographic, artistic and archaeological artifacts accompanied by visual aides, giving visitors a rich insight into the Rwandan culture. We shall as well have the Traditional Dance Troupe to perform for us.

Nyungwe National Park - Rwanda Arriving at the Park we shall check in at the Hotel, have lunch freshen up as we wait for the canopy walk at 3 PM. One of the most beautiful experience you can never miss when you have been to this park, from the canopy you will be able to view the amazing canopy trees, different bird species and many more primate species. The canopy walkways provides an exhilarating perspective on the ancient tree tops and wild life.

Chimpanzee Tracking, King palace Museum and transfer to Kigali

Nyungwe National Park - Rwanda Early morning at 6:00 AM we shall go with the first group at the Chimpanzee tracking in the forest which takes 2 hours. You will enjoy watching these 98.7% DNA human like creatures scenery of them running around in the tree canopies running after to catch up and the sightings are more rushed and sporadic.

Gisakura Before proceeding to Nyanza we shall pass by Gisakura Tea plantation, hugging the undulating hills at the western fringes of Nyungwe Forest National Park, this Tea Estate is among the most famous of Rwanda’s tea plantations, and certainly among the most beautiful. Keep an eye out for the troop of Colobus monkeys which live in a patch of forest within the plantation.

King's Palace On our way to Kigali we shall pass by the King Palace Museum in Nyanza, the royal residence of King Mutara III Rudahigwa is an interesting home to wander through with its peculiarities including three sitting rooms, the best of which was reserved for receiving white people. From here you will learn more rich stories of the palace including some of the architectural idiosyncrasies inside the royal compound, including why the royal beer brewer’s hut had an entrance without a lip, and other curiosities such as why the woman who looked after the king’s milk was never able to marry.
