Upon your arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport and then take you to Rabat. You will have a short tour in Casablanca to see the most important places there before you leave to Rabat. The top landmark in Casablanca is Hassan II Mosque. The mosque perched beside the sea and featuring the tallest minaret in the world (690 feet), it’s one of the only mosques in the country that allows non-Muslims to enter. After that, you travel to Rabat. Overnight at your Riad/Hotel in Rabat.

In the second day of your Morocco travel, you will explore Rabat before you leave to Chefchaouen. After breakfast, you’ll visit Roman and Islamic ruins, the 20th-century Andalusian Gardens, and Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret.

Volubilis
Volubilis is a great landmark in Morocco. It was founded by the Berber people in the 3rd century BC. After the fall of Carthage, the city became part of Mauretania. However, in 25 BC, King Juba II was placed on the throne and began building his royal capital at Volubilis. Despite his Berber ancestry, Juba was married to the daughter of Mark Antony and Cleopatra, and his tastes were distinctly Roman. The city’s public buildings (including a forum, a basilica and a triumphal arch) reflect the architectural styles of Roman cities across Europe.

Kairaouine Mosque
Fes is the cultural city of Morocco. It is the oldest surviving city in the world and contains the oldest and the first university in the world. It is the Quranic university called al-Qarawiyyin. Founded in 859 AD, al-Qarawiyyin still receives students up today. It is rich in terms of history and monuments. Your tours in Morocco should include Fes.

Chouara Tannery
After breakfast, you start your guided tour to explore the city. You explore both medina quarters, Fes el Bali and Fes el Jdid with a guide. You walk in the narrow alleys of Talâa Kebira and through the old souks (markets). Finally, will visit also the Chouara Tannery and its many dye-filled stone pots, where the men at work use centuries-old techniques.

In the sixth day of your Morocco tour, you will head to Merzouga. Merzouga is a town on the edge of the Sahara Desert in Morocco. From here, it is about one hour drive to your lux camp where you will be staying for the night. However, before getting to Merzouga, you cross Azrou, Ifran, Midelt, Erfoud, and then Merzouga.

Ifrane
You stop first in Ifran and Azrou. The Cedar forest of Azrou is attractive. You will see wild monkeys and you can take pictures. After that, you continue your way to Midelt where you will have lunch. When you get to Erfoud, known for fossil mining, you can stop to meet local artisans before continuing onto Erg Chebbi.

Azrou
Azrou is mostly known for hosting the first high school in the Berber region: the Berber high school of Azrou (now the Tarik Ibn Ziad School). It was built by the French colonial authorities in order to train Moroccans for the colonial administration.

Erg Chebbi
Erg Chebbi is an extensive complex of sand dunes that shift and travel depending on the changing wind. When you reach Merzouga, it’s time for a camel ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi. On the way, you watch the most beautiful sunset in your life where the color of the sky mixes with the color of sands.
