Akagera National Park located in eastern Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania. It’s characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, rhinos, and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. Transfer to Akagera National Park-After breakfast around 9h:00 Am,

Kayonza After 1,5 hours will be at IMIGONGO COFFEE SHOP having 1 cup and stretching legs in 20 min afterward then keep move to the national park

Akagera National Park Arriving in the Akagera National Park middle day, transfer to the park headquarters for registration thereafter driver guide will transfer you to the Akagera game lodge by Mantis check in and having your lunch there. At 2 Pm driver will come back to you to evening boat ride and you have to there by 3PM. Boat trips on Lake Ihema give visitors a chance to explore the rich biodiversity in and around the lake. While on a boat trip on Lake Ihema in Akagera national park, visitors are able to see wildlife animals like hippopotami and crocodiles. The lake is well known for having the largest hippo concentration in all of East Africa this experience takes 1h30, driver will wait you at lakeshore or lakefront then transfer back to the lodge refreshing for night game drive At 5h30PM be ready for night game, a night safari are the best way for you to encounter most of the nocturnal animals and gets you opportunity to look out for leopards, hyenas, lions, bush babies, etc....Ending around 20h30

Akagera National Park After breakfast, at 7Am driver guide will come and pick you from lodge for full game driver from south to northern part of the park, During the morning game drives, you will get the chance to see a number of herbivores in the park can be seen for instance the zebras, impalas, topis, bushbucks, elephants, rhinos, giraffes among other herbivores in the park during the morning game drives you will also have the chance to see a number of bird species during the drives near the swamps lake like Lake lhema, lake Shakani, where you will see different bird species like African fish Eagle, the open billed stork, the egrets, cormorants, Senegal lapwings, African darter, Hammerkop, Caruthers's cisticola, pied crow, black-headed weaver, fan-tailed widow bird, violet's black weaver, long-crested Eagle, like Pockefellers's sunbird, Chapin's flycatcher, Rwenzori Batis, strange weaver, red-throated alethe. etc... later evening you will be back to kigali from northern of the park

Animals are aware of contrast, shouting and bright colors, white and strong patterns create the highest contrast against the forest background. Also, remember not to wear black or blue as these colors seem to attract tsetse flies and other bugs. Also, Keep a distance while making the game.
