We will know the basics to be able to "decode" a wine thanks to our five senses and the tasting technique. Tasting a wine means subjecting it to a series of sensory analyses to determine its organoleptic characteristics. A professional tasting includes four stages:
- visual inspection;
- the olfactory examination;
- the taste test.
- the retro-olfactory examination.
Such techniques involve our five senses (sight, smell, taste, touch and, to a lesser extent, hearing). The techniques are learned by tasting three fine Italian wines.
