Itinerary
1
Nikolaiviertel On this alternative tour, the first stop is probably the last stop of a established world. From here on out the stops are authentic and closer to the reality of living in a big city.

Duration:  5 minutes

2
Kreuzberg Not only one of Berlin's most famous districts, Kreuzberg is a melting pot par excellence with lots of stories to tell.

Duration:  45 minutes

3
Engelbecken An unexpected place of peace between pre-fab-buildings, old style buildings and modern architecture. A perfect place to gain some understanding into the district and it's diversity.

Duration:  10 minutes

4
The Treehouse by the Wall: This is the story of a guest worker coming over and adapting to the Kreuzberg mentality in a second. Getting a gardenhouse with boldness right by the wall and marking their territory with the berlin guerilla mentality.

Duration:  10 minutes

5
Kunstlerhaus Bethanien In a place where multiple squaddings led to a remarkable place for artists. Not only during the start of the scene, in the peak in the 1980s but also in early 2000s. All that effort led to the building becoming a room for artists of all kind.
6
YAAM The YAAM is an incredible club, but the view from here might be even more fascinating. From here you see the TV-Tower, the Holzmarkt, the Oberbaumbridge and the river Spree - it takes a minute to take that beauty in.
7
East Side Gallery The longest remaining part of the Berlin Wall, filled with spectacular art and right within a completely new-designed business-quarter.

Duration:  10 minutes

8
Oberbaumbrucke The district's landmark stands for crossing borders in any meaning.

Duration:  10 minutes

9
Once restricted borderland, today the spot for the young urban creatives. From here it's easy to understand the GDR's obsession with the Wall, borderland and heavy restriction regarding freedom. The river Spree invites everyone to take a small break with a beautiful few.

Duration:  15 minutes

10
Molecule Men Sculpture This very unique sculpture obviously led to multiple interpretations of which the official one is probably the one with the least sense to it.
11
The area here is sort of like a playing ground for adults with a concert hall, a swimming bar and an outdoor bath.
12
A former Wall watchtower turned art galary stand tall in one of Berlin's many parks.
13
Another perfect stop to understand Kreuzberg's diversity of buildings, people and history. The perfect example of big city life but yet escapism. This street really has it all.

Duration:  10 minutes

14
Gorlitzer Park A former trainstation of Berlin's extensive railway system transformed into a park, symbolizing the thin line between alternative life and anarchy.

Duration:  10 minutes

15
Completly inconspicuous is the peak of capitalism in the heart of the melting pot. Surrounded by authentic Berliners, anarchists and political activism is the car loft. A building, where you can take your car up to your balcony.

Duration:  5 minutes

16
Landwehrkanal Dolce Vita at the waterfront incl. Turkish market on Tuesday's and Friday's.
17
A short break from the hustle of the big city in an authentic and bohemian neighborhood, just living the good life, playing some boule.
18
Is Kreuzberg really the home of anarchists, slobs and survival artists? It is much more and also the complete opposite to offer.
19
Admiralbrucke You can either start your night in a bar or in the light of a beautiful summer sunset right here with hundreds of strangers. Come as you are.

Duration:  5 minutes

20
Kottbusser Tor As contrast to the previous Dolce Vita stops, the "Kotti" stand out with it's brutal 1970s architecture, the vibrant drugscene an heavy traffic.

Duration:  5 minutes
