Your guide will greet you at your hotel or residence, before whisking you away to Grindelwald.

Grindelwald
The tour will begin in the idyllic mountain village of Grindelwald, where you’ll catch a cable car to the peak of the First. Mount First is a minor summit positioned at the slopes of Schwarzhorn in the Bernese Oberland, giving you encompassed views of geologically stunning terrain. Our hiking tour guide will lead you throughout the thrilling voyage and eventually take you to a vantage point at the top of the First peak, where you’ll float among the clouds on a glass platform.
This sky-scraping viewpoint overlooks the Jungfrau Region, where breathtaking panoramic views of the neighboring cliffs and lush Swiss valleys can be admired (subject to weather conditions). During this exploration, the guide will highlight the surrounding views, such as the Bernese Alps, and reveal fascinating facts about the region’s heritage.

After a sky-high stroll among the Bernese mountain peaks, the guide will accompany you on a serene hike to picture-perfect Lake Bachalpsee. You can admire and photograph several wondrous landscapes throughout the journey, including the majestic Eiger Peak. You may also encounter local wildlife, including fuzzy marmots, wild Alpine ibex goats, and Alpine chamois!
Arriving at Lake Bachalpsee, which is elevated at a staggering 2,265 meters (7,431 feet) above sea level, there will be a chance to capture the entrancing radiance of the indigo-blue glacier lake, which is where it gets its name, the Blue Jewel. Explore the surrounding area, which spans 8.06 hectares of natural, untouched land. Our guide will share various compelling facts regarding the lake, including its captivating glacial origins and unique ecological features.

Schynige Platte
Continuing the exploration through the Jungfrau Region to Schynige Platte, you’ll be further immersed in Bernese Highlands. Look out for more regional wildlife like rabbits, deer, and foxes, among the quaint rolling hillsides and neighboring cliffs. Upon reaching the small mountain ridge of Schynige Platte, you can appreciate astounding 360-degree views of the surrounding lakes, including Interlaken, Lake Brienz, and Lake Thun.
Throughout the journey across Schynige Platte, your guide will escort you to six notable points known as the ‘Six Pearls.’ As you’ve already ticked off the first pearl, the Balchalpsee, you’ll proceed on a wondrous adventure to the other in a 6-hour hike. Reach the two pearls at the Schynige Platte railway, where your guide will share facts about the diverse flora in the Matten and Alpine gardens. Continue your hike towards the remaining pearls along the Güw landscape, the blue, glimmering Sägistalsee lake, and the undisturbed Faulhorn mountain.
