Colchani The Colchani Population is a small community located on the shores of the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, where the locals are dedicated to the exploitation of salt and the creation of handicrafts. In this town, you will be able to see how the inhabitants take part of the salt extracted from the salar and use it to create beautiful and original handicrafts. The creativity and skill of the Colchani artisans is truly impressive. Among the handicrafts that can be found are picture frames, jewelry boxes, typical animals of the region and other accessories made with salt and decorated with elements of the Andean culture. In addition to salt handicrafts, in the Colchani Population you can also find beautiful textiles, traditional fabrics and functional or decorative ceramics. Everything sold in this place is handmade and unique. The visit to the Colchani Population is an opportunity to get to know and appreciate the culture, traditions and way of life of the inhabitants of the region.

Salar de Uyuni This place is considered the largest salt desert in the world and will amaze you with its beauty. You will discover a unique landscape, surrounded by mountains and volcanoes up to 5,000 meters high. As you walk through this place, you will be able to appreciate impressive optical illusions that are accentuated during the rainy season. In addition, you will find the "Ojos de Agua", small salt eruptions that will help you learn about the formation process of this infinite sea of salt. During your tour, you will visit the famous "Hotel de Sal", the first of its kind, which currently functions as a museum. This hotel is entirely built of salt, from its walls to its furniture and ceiling. In addition, you will have the opportunity to take perspective photos in the immensity of the Salar, an experience that you will not be able to forget!

Isla Incahuasi An essential stop on our tour of the Salar de Uyuni is the Incahuasi Island, also known as the "Island of the Cactus". This island is located in the center of the salt flat and is surrounded by an impressive panoramic view of the landscape. Here, you will have the opportunity to walk among the huge populations of giant cacti that grow on the island and learn about the flora and fauna of the region. In addition, you will also be able to observe sea rock fossils found in the area and appreciate the spectacular views of the salt flat from the top of the island. After exploring Incahuasi Island, we will continue our tour to the San Juan Lodge, where you can kick back and relax after an exciting day of adventures. Volcan Ollague - Lagunas - Valley of the rocks - Colonial Church of San Cristobal.

Volcan Ollague We will start the day with a delicious breakfast to recharge our batteries before leaving at 8:00 am for our next destination: the impressive Ollagüe Volcano. Located on the border between Bolivia and Chile, in the majestic Andes Mountains, this volcano reaches an impressive altitude of 5868 meters above sea level. After enjoying the panoramic views and photographing the imposing silhouette of the volcano, we will head south to visit the beautiful Cañapa and Hedionda lagoons. These lagoons are home to a large number of flamingos and other bird species such as geese and Andean gulls, which add a touch of color to the landscape. In addition, the snow-capped volcanoes that surround the lagoons and the green skirt that surrounds them, create an impressive landscape that will leave you breathless. Don't forget your camera to capture the beauty of this place and take home unforgettable memories of the Uyuni region.

Uyuni During the way back to Uyuni, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, knowing two very interesting places: First, we will visit the impressive Valley of Rocks, where we can see unique rock formations that have been shaped by wind erosion over time, creating amazing figures that defy the imagination. Secondly, we will visit the colonial church of San Cristóbal, built entirely of volcanic stone and of great size, it is a sample of the religious architecture of the time. This church is considered a historical treasure of the region, with an interior beautifully decorated with religious paintings and sculptures. Undoubtedly, these two places will be an enriching experience to learn more about the history and geology of the region, and also capture impressive photographs to remember this unforgettable trip.
