What To Expect

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning for the half an hour drive to Sanganer. Upon arrival in Sanganer, visit a workshop and spend a few hours there learning the art of textile dyeing.

The various techniques - natural dyeing, block printing and tie and dye - date back to the 17th century and have been handed down generations. Watch the artisans at work as they transform white fabrics into colorful bedspreads and other items of household use. Take some time out to try your hand at the dyeing process and learn the unique art of block printing.

This form of printing became much popular in European countries in between 16th and 17th century. The Sanganer prints are much popular in the textile world and the bright colors used in printing stands as an added asset. The prints using the bright and vibrant shades along with the traditional designs will grab the attention of people.
