Day 01- Airport-Negombo

A representative from our firm will greet you as you exit the Bandaranaike International Airport and lead you to a comfortable car to take you around the nation. This person will serve as both your driver and guide throughout the tour. To begin your Cultural Triangle tour, you will be driven to Jetwing Blue, where you will check into the hotel.
Day 02- Anuradhapura City

One of the historic capitals, Anuradhapura, is the first stop on your Cultural Triangle Tour. The sacred city is also a UNESCO world heritage site because it is brimming with stories waiting to be learned. Mihintale is the first historical location you go to as part of your Cultural Triangle Tour. The hard climb to Mihintale feels completely worthwhile because it welcomes you with a stunning panorama and crazy winds. Ruwanweliseya, Twin Baths (Kuttam Pokuna), and Ritigala Forest Monastery are beautiful examples of historic architecture. Kuttam Pokuna (twin ponds or pools) are well preserved old bathing tanks or ponds in Sri Lanka. This pair of ponds was built by the Sinhalese in the ancient Anuradhapura Kingdom. They form part of the Abhayagiri vihāra complex and are an example of the works in the field of hydrological engineering, architecture and art of the ancient Sinhalese.

Day 03- Polonnaruwa City

Welcome to the city that once held a kingdom and now guards some of the finest ancient artefacts in the world. You visit the Polonnaruwa Vatadage, the archaeological museum, the Royal Palace of King Parakramabahu, and numerous other well-preserved historical buildings. The attention to detail that each of these remains received astounds you. Thereafter, you go to Parakrama Samudraya, a water reservoir with five lakes that is a popular tourist destination in royal Sri Lanka. It was fashioned in the 12th century by King Parakramabahu I.

Parakrama Samudra is a shallow reservoir, consisting of five separate wewa connected by narrow channels in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The northernmost reservoir is the oldest and referred to as Topa wewa built around 386 AD.

Day 04-Sigiriya

Sigiriya is one of the places that locals believe they must visit, at least once in their lifetime, which is why we included this destination for your Sri Lanka itinerary. Due to the locals’ insistence, you alternate the climb to the Sigiriya rock by hiking through the Pidurangala rock. As you reach the cliff you are rewarded with the breathtaking view of the Sigiriya rock surrounded by the thick forest, beautiful water streams with the perfect breeze that plays with your hair. This golden land; is also home to the stunning ‘Royal Gardens’; which is one of the oldest gardens in the world. You end the day with a jeep safari to one of the national parks where you will see a lot of animals on that day you visit.

Sigiriya or Sinhagiri is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka. It is a site of historical and archaeological significance that is dominated by a massive column of rock approximately 180 m high.

Minneriya tank is a reservoir in Sri Lanka made by an old civilisation; the Anuradhapura Kingdom. King Mahasena ordered a dam build across the Minneriya River, which made the lake. The tank covered 4,670 acres. The Minneriya Tank was built by the great tank builder, King Mahasen who ruled in Anuradhapura.

The next day, after breakfast, you will travel to Kandy after having visited the nearby Dambulla Cave Temple. You will arrive in Kandy after travelling for more than three hours after stopping at the Ayurvedic Herbal Gardens. Day 07 – Colombo/Airport

On day 7, after breakfast, depart and travel to the busy city of Colombo. You will be given a sightseeing tour of Colombo and taken to locations such as Independence Square, Galle Face Green, the Old Parliament Building, and the Gangarama Temple. This city trip will only be possible if your next departure is in the afternoon or, even better, in the evening. The airport is another hour’s drive from Colombo.

Gangaramaya (Vihara) Buddhist Temple
Gangaramaya Temple is one of the most important temples in Colombo, Sri Lanka, being a mix of modern architecture and cultural essence. Located on the Beira Lake, it was completed in the late 19th century.
