What To Expect

On this full-day excursion, you’ll depart Marrakech by car at around 09:00 for a 2-hour drive south through the Moulay Brahim gorges. Stop to visit the argan oil cooperative in Tahnaout and Asni's Saturday market along the way.

Imlil, at 1740m, is set in the upper foothills of the western High Atlas Mountains. A main trailhead leads to streams and paths branching out in all directions. Enjoy a welcome glass of mint tea in the village and meet your local guide prior to setting out on a trek (length of your choice) towards the south, to the Berber village of Aroumd (1843m).

En route you’ll pass by waterfalls, fields of crops and cherry and walnut orchards. Stop for a refreshing glass of freshly squeezed orange juice as you cool your feet at the waterfall.

Throughout your trek you’ll be rewarded with amazing views of the High Atlas Mountains. The jagged western High Atlas peaks of the Toubkal Massif will be before you, including Jbels Aguelzim (3547m), Aksouâl (3847m) and Adrar Adj (3122m)
