Amber Palace Amer, originally, was the capital of the state before Jaipur. It is an old fort, built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh. This fort is also very popularly known as the Amer Palace. The Amer Fort was built in red sandstone and marble and the Maotha Lake adds a certain charm to the entire Fort.

Nahargarh Fort Nahargarh Fort is set on the Aravallis here, and offers some stunning views of the Pink City. Along with Amber and Jaigarh, Nahargarh once served as the defense ring for Jaipur. It was built in 1734 by Sawai Jai Singh, the then king of Jaipur, mainly as a retreat for the queens and the king.

Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind Hawa Mahal was built by Kachhwaha Rajput ruler Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799. When the maharaja saw the structure of Khetri Mahal in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, he was so impressed that he decided to build a palace modeled on it. Hawa Mahal, also called the Palace of Breeze, was the result of that inspiration.
