Ballestas Islands An exciting two-hour motor boat ride along the coast of the Paracas Bay and out to explore the Ballestas Islands. You’ll stop briefly to discuss the mysterious origins of the Candelabra, or Candlestick, and observe the abundant wildlife. Among the many birds you will observe will be the Humboldt Penguin, Peruvian Pelicans and Boobies, Cormorants and Inca Terns living in their natural habitat. Another highlight will be the colonies of sea lions, and if you are lucky enough to visit during birthing season, get the opportunity to see 1000´s of cute little baby pups alongside of their mothers. Apart from the beautiful, and often times entertaining, sea lions, you may also get a chance to see dolphins and some interesting marine life such as star and sunfish.

Paracas National Reserve At the Paracas National Reserve Park were you will learn about not only one of the most biologically productive marine areas in the world, but the deep history of the Paracas culture that once thrived in the area. You will observe flamingos in their natural habitat, visit many interesting geographically formations including giant sand dunes set against the backdrop of the radiant blue Paracas Bay, and enjoy beautiful picturesque beaches where you will be sure to snap a picture or two. A stop for lunch will also be included in the tour which will give you the opportunity to see pelicans and other marine birds close up, as well as watch the local fishermen pulling in their catch for the day. As you relax and enjoy the scenery around you your local guide will share with you about his experiences living and working among the people of Paracas today.
