Have the opportunity to know the oldest university of Portugal together with one of the world’s grandest and unique libraries, the Biblioteca Joanina, where the bats are responsible for the cleaning of the books and the walls are thick enough to maintain its temperature.

Se Nova Catedral de Coimbra

Se Velha De Coimbra
This church was built in the 12th century by Afonso Henrique when he claimed himself king of Portugal and made Coimbra its capital. After that had some modifications that finished in the 16th century, so you today you can observe the mixture of styles in its architecture.

Torre de Almedina
Pass through the Almedina door and tower, the original entrance of the fortified city center.

Igreja de Santa Cruz
Also built in the 12th century, finished in the 13th century, by the two first kings of Portugal, where they are both buried. Suffered modifications in the 16th century by King Manuel I and made it what it is today.
