CUSCO – CACHORA – CHIQUISCA

Cusco
Very early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in our transportation, then we will head towards the Pampa de Anta, before beginning to descend towards the Limatambo valley. Then we will continue our journey until we reach the town of San Pedro de Cachora, we will continue to Capuliyoc (2900 m), after taking our well-deserved photos we will begin to descend for 4 hours until we reach Chiquisca (1900 m) where we will spend the night in our camp

CHIQUISCA – MARAMPATA – CHOQUEQUIRAO

Choquequirao Inca Citadel
Early in the morning we will be woken up with a coca tea in bed and later we will be able to get ready and go out to have our breakfast, after this we will begin the zigzag ascent until we reach the hamlet of Santa Rosa (2000 m), where we will take a comforting rest. For this walk it is necessary to have good physical resistance because we will continue our ascent to the Marampata hamlet (2900 m), in this place we will spend the night in the house of one of the residents, at the same time we will take the opportunity to take a break and have lunch , from this place we will have a panoramic view of the Choquequirao Archaeological Complex

PINCHAHUNUYOC – RIO BLANCO – MAIZAL

Choquequirao Inca Citadel
This day we will leave as usual after breakfast. Our walk will begin with a descent until we reach the lowest part called Rio Blando. We will take our well-deserved rest here to take a refreshing dip in the cold, clear water of the river if you wish.
We cross the river walking because there are no bridges.
On the other hand, we begin the long and steep climb to our camp in Maizal, above the river and closer to the sacred Apus of the Incas. This climb lasts approximately 3 hours. This is the most challenging day. We will camp at 3000 m.

Day 5 – CORN FIELD – VICTORIA MINES – SAN JUAN PASS – YANAMA

Yanama
We recharge our energy with a good breakfast and continue upwards, the landscape is lush green vegetation. This is a long climb, but we will walk through an absolutely stunning area, first with cloud forest and then over the Andean Puna with its well-known grass the Ichu or the Straw.
As we approach the top, we can see the original paved Inca trails. We will have lunch in the upper part with views of the Choquetakarpo, Padreyoc and Pumasillo mountains. And if we are very lucky we will be able to see the Condor fly.
Finally, we will descend to the town of Yamana, a small settlement at the bottom of a long valley surrounded by mountains (3800 m). Where we will spend the night.

YANAMA – HYDROELECTRIC – HOT WATERS

Machupicchu cusco
We get up as usual to have our coca tea and our breakfast, and then take our vehicle that will take us to the Hidroelectrica, where we will begin our small and last walk following the railway where we will pass through exuberant vegetation with large trees in the which grow plants such as orchids and bromeliads, if we are very lucky we will have the opportunity to see a great variety of birds, plants, insects and above all we will have the opportunity to see coffee plants, bananas and avocados, our walk will be about 3 hours for an extension of approximately 11 km to the town of Machu Picchu (2,070 m). Upon arrival in the town, we head to our hotel where we will settle in and if time permits we can enjoy the hot springs of Aguas Calientes (optional)

Day 7 – AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO

Machu Picchu
This day after breakfast we head to the bus station to board our bus to Machu Picchu and we will see how spectacular the citadel of Machu Picchu is, "old peak", considered a jewel of Inca architecture: with squares, neighborhoods, houses, agricultural areas, roads, observatories, etc. Built on one of the flanks of the old mountain in the middle of semi-tropical vegetation. It was built on one of the flanks of the old Mountain and discovered on July 24, 1911 by the North American explorer Hiram Bingham. The guided tour lasts 2 hours, where we will visit the most representative places of the Inca citadel of Machupicchu. Later we return to Aguas Calientes and then we head to the train station to leave for Poroy and then transfer to your hotel.
