Canada Place The complex was built for Expo '86, a world's fair that was held in Vancouver. After the fair, Canada Place became a convention and event center. From the lobby, you can access the pavilions, which host a variety of exhibitions and events. There is also a viewing platform at the top of one of the pavilions that offers stunning views of the city and the port. The complex is also home to the Vancouver Maritime Museum, which features exhibits on Canada's maritime history.
