KL Tower Standing majestically atop Bukit Nanas at 421 meters and 94 meters above sea level, KL Tower is a prominent feature of the city’s skyline. Its architecture reflects the country's Islamic heritage, with the construction detailing Arabic scripts, Islamic tiles, classic Islamic floral and abstract motifs and soothing colour combinations. Besides the panoramic view, KL Tower has something for city dwellers who love nature. The verdant green surrounding Menara KL is the Bukit Nanas Forest - the only oldest gazetted forest reserve in the country. It covers an area of 10.05 hectares and is considered the green lung of Kuala Lumpur.

Batu Caves Batu Caves is a an iconic and popular tourist attraction in Selangor. Site of a Hindu temple and shrine, Batu Caves attracts thousands of worshipers and tourists. A limestone outcrop located just north of Kuala Lumpur, Batu Caves has three main caves featuring temples and Hindu shrines. Its main attraction is the large statue of the Hindu God at the entrance, besides a steep 272 climb up its steps to finally view the stunning skyline of the city centre. Istana Negara The Istana Negara is the official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the monarch of Malaysia. The palace opened in 2011 and replaced the old Istana Negara which was located at a different compound in central Kuala Lumpur. The palace complex has an area of 97.65 hectares, 22 domes, and is split into three main portions: the Formal Component, Royal Component and Administration Component.

Malaysian Houses of Parliament The Malaysian Houses of Parliament is a building complex where the Malaysian Parliament assembles. The structure is located at the Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur, close to the Malaysian National Monument.

National Monument The National Monument was built to recognise and honour those who gave up their lives in the cause for peace and freedom, particularly during the nation's struggle against the threat of communism. Within the National Monument grounds is one of the world's largest free-standing bronze sculptures. It was sculpted in 1966 by Felix de Weldon, who was also the creator of the famous Iwo Jima monument in Washington DC.

National Mosque (Masjid Negara) The main dome of the National Mosque is designed in the shape of an 18-point star to represent the 13 states of Malaysia and the five central Pillars of Islam, and has the appearance of a partly opened umbrella roof which symbolizes the aspirations of an independent nation. As one of Southeast Asia's largest mosques, its unique modern design embodies a contemporary expression of traditional Islamic art, calligraphy and ornamentation.

Sultan Abdul Samad Building The iconic Sultan Abdul Samad building is located in front of Dataran Merdeka. This historical building houses the Supreme and High Courts. The building with unique Moorish designs and clock tower is widely photographed by visitors to the city centre.

Dataran Merdeka On 31 August 1957, the Union Jack was lowered at Dataran Merdeka to mark Malaysia’s independence from colonial rule. Hence the name, Dataran Merdeka, which means ‘Independence Square’. In its heyday, the square used to be the venue for parades, cricket matches and other important occasions. The 100m high flagpole at Dataran Merdeka is one of the tallest in the world.

Central Market Kuala Lumpur Central Market is one of the city’s prominent heritage buildings. It is a fine example of the 1930s Art Deco style with a stepped entrance design, unifying elements at the windows and doors as well as wrought iron panels. Just outside, Kasturi Walk beckons visitors with an exciting outdoor shopping experience. Central Market was originally a wholesale and retail wet market. When it was about to be demolished, many citizens and organisations appealed for its conservation.

Sin Sze Si Ya Temple This is the oldest Taoist temple in the city with a history dating back to 1864. The temple features an ornate interior and elaborate roof ridges. Sin Sze Si Ya Temple pays tribute to the deities of Sin Sze Ya and Si Sze Ya. Sin Sze Si Ya Temple occupies a rather unusual position and angle. This location is believed to have been determined by ‘feng shui’ or Chinese geomancy.

The Exchange 106 is a skyscraper under construction within the Tun Razak Exchange area, a new financial district currently being developed in Kuala Lumpur. The 106-floor building is topped with a 65-meter, 12-storey high illuminated crown making it 492 m tall. With its completion, the Exchange 106 skyscraper has officially dethroned the Petronas Twin Towers, at 452m, as the tallest in Malaysia.
