Gua Kandu was named one of the top ten most important karst conservation sites in Kinta by the Malaysian Nature Society as it has a significantly high endemic wildlife diversity. Marvel at the mesmerizing limestone formations such as the unique stalactites and stalagmites. Some of this formations are highlighted by special lighting such as a stunning curtain-like structure of stalactites that will be unlike anything you have seen! Along the walls of the cave, you may come across some graffiti, left behind by the insurgents that used Gua Kandu as a communist guerrilla hideout during the Malayan Emergency days.
Itinerary:
07.00AM: Morning Hotel pick-up (Kuala Lumpur areas only)
09.30AM: Pick-up at Gopeng Toll Exit Plaza (Exit 135) who will then lead you to the parking area at Ulu River Lodge, then assemble there and transfer to Kandu Cave. Journey will take around 10 minutes.
09.50 AM: Arrive at Kandu Cave. Briefing will be given by guide, start caving. Kandu cave exploration for three hours.
12.50PM: Depart to lodge area for lunch.
01.50PM: Freshen up then transfer to your hotel at Kuala Lumpur.
